If a message contains both positive and negative information, what is the best way to present the negative information (see Chapters 7 & 8)?
If a message contains both positive and negative information, the best way to present the negative information is to explain it in context of the positive information i.e. firstly we can give or represent the positive information and than continue by saying that "as everything has a positive and a negative side......." and can convey the negative informative with it.
To make this negative information look more positive we need not just give the negative ingormation but we should explain why this is and what are the possible solutions to it. In this way the negative information will not have that bad effect to the audiance and hence can be conveyed easily.
A negative information is less effective if it is embedded with a positive information and presented in a positive context. So both the informations should be covered in one go with explaining what is good in this bad as every bad thing has some good in it.
