Social class is defined as the grouping of people in a stratified hierarchy based on income, education, wealth, social network, and occupation (though other factors are also considered sometimes). The person's position in the social class hierarchy may impact, for example, education, health, political participation, family life, religious affiliation, and experience with the criminal justice system. Class struggle (also termed as class conflict and class warfare) is the economic antagonism and political tension that prevails in society consequent to socio-economic changes among the social classes.
Regardless of which model of social classes is applied, it is evident that socioeconomic status is linked to particular innovations and opportunities. Innovation contributes to socio-economic with raised wages, and helped Americans to improve the standard of living among various classes. New technologies in household allow more time for leisure and family. For example: A survey conducted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) revealed 55% of women around the globe earned additional income due to owning a mobile phone, and have increased their professional and income opportunities by 41%
