The United Nation SDGs four (4) on education wants everyone to have access to inclusive, equitable quality education. The government of Ghana upon this realization has as a matter of urgency rolled out important policy on education to build enough capacity for the country through its flagship programme of free SHS. a. From the perspective of normative economics, at what point would the labor market in Ghana be judged to be at a point of optimality? b. What imperfections might prevent the market from achieving this point?
Normative economics is a perspective on economics that reflects prescriptive on ideology, judgments on economic development, investment projects, statements, and scenarios. it just has an aspect of the outcome of the foreseen functionality based on ideology.
In this case, Ghana wants to give importance to education policy which has a positive relationship with the outcome in terms of skill development. So that Ghana wants to capture the targeted employment and the development of the economy. the relation is like when there is an increase in education i.e any type either formal or demand-oriented then there is a direct benefit to the citizen's income in terms of employment. when they are more self-dependent it will be beneficial for the people as well as the country.
So there is so many reasons that stop the development of the education sector in Ghana.
1. awareness among people. still, people have not accepted the importance of education.
2. Facilities are not up to level. here the problem is from government side as well as from the citizen side.
3. it was basically a labor base country where the education was not that important to accomplish the primary jobs.so in the course of time it has been focused that they should adopt the techology based employment and for that they need to develop their educational sector.
