write formal null and alternative hypotheses for the following proposal:
GCC Students that use public transportation and GCC students that use cars as their form of transportation. measure the number of times they are late/absent to class and expect student who take public transportation to have more tardies and absentees'
In null hypothesis, as expected by its name we do not make any assumaption about the hypotheisis. As here we want to see if there is any effect of using public transportation and using cars as their form of transportation by GCC Students . So in null hypotheisis we should assume that there is no such difference, that is the public transportation user student and the student who uses their cars have same tardies and absentees. In alternative hypothesis, we consider the hypothesis that we are interested in. For example, here we are interested in if students using public transportation to have more tardies and absentees. So our hypothesis are
H0: The GCC students who use public transportation and that use cars as their form of transportation have same tardies and absentees.
Ha: The GCC students using public transportation have more tardies and absentees than that use cars as their form of transportation.
