Richmond is the capital of Virginia located at the fall line of the James river. The population of Richmond is 223,170 (census 2016). During revolution period so many important events occurs here after which it emerges as an economic power house. The organizational structure is developed as there is better infrastructure, proper working of government at different levels, social security and safety, etc. the city has maintained good environment for its people who live and work there.

The economy of Richmond is well developed as the revenue and expenditure strategies are working efficiently the revenue collected through taxes, fees etc. is well spend on the development projects and public services. The income level is high and poverty is reducing. the growth rate if increasing .

  The fiscal policies play important role in providing consistency in public services and maintaining economic stability.
