Relevant costs are those costs which relates to the particular decision only, here its the online schooling.
The main relevant costs here that will be incurred are for-
1. Setting up technology- Setting up LMS portal cost, license for the website, buildup cost for website, obtaining copyrights for the software and portals, data storage cost, etc.
2. Hiring Technical Support Staff- To carry tasks mentioned in point 1, the school will need to hire someone or outsource the work to a firm, the salary payable or fees payable will be a cost.
3. Training of current staff- The current teachers may not be good with online teaching and hence, they must be trained properly so that they can perform well.
4. Cost for Shooting videos- It involves many costs like rent of technical instruments like camera, mic, etc, charges of camera man and video grapher, rent of studio, electricity, etc.
Non Differential Costs are those costs that are gonna be incurred in both the alternatives available.
some of them are-
1. Salary of teachers and professors- The current staff needs to be paid and there will not be any change in this.
2. Cost of study material- The study material and books that will be provided to the students.
Qualitative factors are those factors whose results are not measurable or quantifiable.
1. Engagement of students- It is very difficult for a teacher to actively engage with each student while online, and hence becomes difficult for students to focus sometimes, this can be overcomed by limiting the time of a session and students.
2. Motivation of students- Students generally tend to loose motivation because they find the online session uninteractive, thus teachers should often engage with students.
3. Students have the advantage of studying from anywhere as per there convenice, hence it boast ups the spirits of children.
