Check the site of puncture for any bleeding
Assess vital sings, mainly focus in pulse rate, rhythm, volume. If the pulse is at the rate if above 60 bpm, continuous with regular interval is indication of success of procedure.
Monitor blood pressure

Post operative continuation of heparin drip is based on the prescription to continue.

If there is no prescription, stop the drip and check for any bleeding.

Heart failure may have number of causes. And it is fatal condition, where can't wait for effectiveness of one drug.

It may be

neurogenic origin
Cardiogenic origin or
Mixed.
