Comparision between virtual reality platform and RFID
technologies in libraries and why we prefer RFID than VR

- RFID stands for Radio frequency identification. RFID
uses radio frequencies to transmit data from sender to
receiver.
- Where as Virtual reality represent computer generated
environment which gives the experiences and sensations of real and
imagionary location for user.
- RFID belongs devices like barcode and
QR code.
- The VR technology is diveded into different
level of user immersion like desktop windows on world
system, use of moniter to display monoscopic images of the
world.
- RFID system is devided into foru main parts
--- tag which is attached to object whcih will be tracked,
RFID reader, anntenna attached to reader and
computer.
- VR desktop applications allows for distance
learning in e-learning classrooms. and VR
classroom provide more interactive settings between
students and educators.
- RFID intigrate active signaling between mobile
devices and and near field coupling by which mobile
devices can communicate with peer devices in the immediate locality
which can be upto 20 cm. for example - bluetooth and
wifi.
- VR 3D modeling tools are used as tools to
recreate, visualize and analyze archaeological sites and
buildings and the objects which populates that environment
like pottery, sculptures, artifacts and
tools.
- RFID temrature sensor can identify goods and
ensures that they remain within safe temrature range. for
example - meat, dairy and fruits.
- Why we prefer RFID than VR technolgy --
- RFID technology is most used because it uses
radio frequency to transmit data from sensor to reader.
- for example wristband and token, it transmit
information to electronic readers setting up at different
areas.
- Wrisband contains an RFID chip that stores credentials of
attendees.
