Trace the pathway of the blood through the heart by placing the following structures in order that the blood passes through starting with the right side of the heart. tricuspid valve aorta right ventricle superior/inferior vena cava mitral valve pulmonary valve left ventricle right atrium left atria pulmonary trunk aortic valve lungs
Dear Student ,
* Blood enters the right atrium from the superior and inferior Vena cavae.
* Tricuspid valve allows blood to flow from right atrium to right ventricles.
*Due to contraction, blood flows through pulmonary valve into pulmonary trunk and enters the lungs from there to get oxygenated.
* From lungs blood is returned to left atrium through pulmonary arteries
* Bicuspid valve allows it's flow from left atrium to left ventricle.
* Contraction causes aortic value to open and blood is distributed to all parts of body through aorta and its branches.
In the below diagram, I have provided the structure of heart with pathway for your clear understanding of the subject .Please do compare the above mentioned pathway with the labelling of this diagram.
Hope you are clear...
