Marx is back: The global working class is starting to unite-and that’s a good thing, Charles Kenny
QUESTION: What is class struggle? As per Marx what will be the actions of workers in a globalized world in 2030?
Marxs has inherited the concept of class struggle from the Utopian socialism. his idea was surrounded with rising of capitalism in an aggressive form. so the class struggle represents the relationship between the rich or the owner of the factors of productions(mostly capital and land) and the other class that is the poor or the working class.. here the middle class became neutral due to these two forces. When the owner of factors of production will force the worker class, the working class have to fulfil it as they have no saying due to the fear of losing the job. so the class struggle can be presented as a conflict between two class of society opposing each other's interest to assure their socio-economic position.
The above statement by Charles Kenny "global working class is starting to unite and that's a good thing" represents Marx's revolutionary statement on the class struggle. the first one is the violent way to protest against the old conditions of the production. the second way is the revolution which shows a provisional opposition between poor and rich. the poor or the working class will come together to fight against capitalism. so this will form two group and slowly the working group will be more strengthen politically and in terms of revolutionary education. that will leads to a shift in power from the richer section to the working sections.
Technology and trade level plays a significant role in 2030 and that will bring the worker group closer. they can realize the similarity among themselves in terms of their socio-economic status. so that will create a pressure on the government to take a righteous decision regarding working-class welfare in wealth distribution.
