Does Cell Theory and Evolution Theory support each other?

Cell theory was given by Schwann and Schleiden who gave the following postulates about cell.

• All living organisms are made up of one or more cells.
• The cell is the most basic structural and functional unit of life.
• All cells evolve from pre-existing cells.

Evolution Theory defines the process of changes occurred in species to species or generation to generations. Evolution theories were given by Jean-Baptiste Lamarck, a French scientist and Charles Darwin. Few of statement were common in between both the evolution theories that the change will occur for improvement of life and habitual changes bring the change in features of organisms. These changes can be passed from one generation to next generation. In case of neo Darwinism theory the Gregor Mendel proposed the change on basis of genetic traits.

Both the theories are co related with each other because both are explaining that the all the living cells and organisms originated from common ancestors.
