You pay $252 for each unit of labour. If the marginal product of labour is $7, what is the marginal cost of output?
Ans. We have given wage rate ( W ) = $252 and the marginal product of labor ( MPL) = $7
Then
Marginal Cost ( MC ) = wage rate (W)/the marginal product of labor ( MPL)
= $252/$7
= $36
Hence, the marginal cost of output is $36.
