1)
a) Hold the top two corners of a piece of paper with your thumbs and index fingers. Holding the paper close to your mouth, blow across the top of the paper when it is hanging parallel to the floor. Do not split the airflow around the edge of the paper; aim to pass all the air over one side only.
b) Fold the opposite ends of an index card to form a small bridge. The folds should be about half an inch. Place the bridge on the tabletop and blow through the arch. Try to blow it off the table this way.
c) Tape a Ping-Pong ball to a length of a string. Make sure the string is securely attached to the ball. Go to one of the sinks and turn on a medium stream of water. Gently maneuver the ball into the stream of water. Gently pull the string to remove the ball from the stream.
Explain the results of each of your activities using Bernoulli’s principle

2) Look up Bernoulli’s Principle in your text. The special case when the change in elevation is negligible can be useful. Explain this special case in your own words, with an emphasis on how the speed of the fluid affects the fluid pressure.
