A patient was brought into the emergency department by ambulance with 2 arrow wounds when one arrow is still in the patient on the left side anterior between the 7th and 8th ribs in a 15? angle the arrow head protruding posterial the 2nd wound is located in the posterior cervical triangle. Describe the cardiovascular system and explain how both the pulmonary and systemic circuits will be affected by both arrows. Include the effect on the hematocrit and Hemoglobin values.
Cardiovascular system is also known as circulatory system as it regulates and permits the blood to circulates in the entire system of the body, so that all the nutrients can reach to all the body parts. This provide nourishment and meets the demand of the body. The heart pumps the blood which reaches to organ, tissue and body parts. Blood is carried from your heart to the rest of your body through a complex network of arteries, arterioles, and capillaries. Blood is returned to your heart through venules and veins. This is the system which provides Oxygen to all parts of the body.
Pulmonary system, this circulation transports oxygen-poor blood from the right ventricle to the lungs where blood picks up a new blood supply. Then it returns the oxygen-rich blood to the left atrium.
These arrows are affecting the transportation of the books supply to the body, due to disturbance in the centres and arteries, the blood supply may not be proper at these parts of the body, which leads to slow down the process of healing of the wounds.
The hematocrit will be low and hemoglobin values will be also decreased, these are the side effects of the disturbance caused due to wounds.
