Alcohol may encourage aggression or violence by disrupting normal brain function . According to the disinhibition hyposthesis on it . For example ;- alchol weakens brain mechanism that normally restrain impulsive behaviours that includes inappropriates aggression . By impairing the information processing , alcohol can also lead a person to misjudge social cues , therby overreacting to a percieved threat . Simultaneously , a narrowing of the attention that may lead to an inacurrate assessment of the future risks of acting on an immediated violent impulse .

In the research process , researchers performs many experiments ,In a typical example , as their subject administers electric shocks or other painful stimuli to an unseen opponent ostensibly as the part of a competitve task involving learing and reaction time , Unkown to the subject , the reaction of the nonexistent opponent are simulated by a computer . Subjects performs both while sober and after consuming alcohol . In many studies it found that the subjects exhibhited increased sggressiveness for example ;- by administering stronger shocks and in proportion to increasing alcohol consumption .

These all finding suggest that the alcohol may facilitate aggressive behaviour . However the subjects rarely increased their aggression unless they felt that threatened or provoked . Moreover , neither intoxicated nor teh sorber participants administered painful stimuli when nonaggressive means of communication for example a signal lamp .
