Create a Case Study. Does anything really work to solve profound health problems that face poor countries? Does development assistance from rich countries make any difference at all? The magnitude and profundity of current health challenges facing the developing world - from AIDS to chronic malnutrition to the looming threat of tobacco-related cancers - can seem daunting. But past challenges have been surmounted and serve as object lessons: Even in countries with few financial resources and limited health infrastructure, sensible and systematic efforts to improve health have worked.
1.Diseases prevalent in low income countries are often neglected and there is little research done to help the suffering population from the cause. It has a drastic effect on the social and economic conditions of the country. The majority of the diseases which affect the poor countries occurs as a result of poverty.Poor nutrition, air pollution, lack of acess to sanitation and health eduction.Poverty related diseases are often daunting and the mortality rate associated with poverty rate is higher .When strategies are taken to taken to reduce poverty health outcomes improve. For instance improvements in agriculture leads to increased food production percapita and lower food prices, which helps in reducing poverty. As healthier population is able to engage in economic activities and helps to improve the basic infrastructure like provision of clean water and helps in eliminating water-borne diseases. The another problem is lack of acess to vital medicines. The main reason for such a situation is the implementation of heavy taxation on pharmaceutical companies by the government will result in low investing in researching these vital drugs. This needs to be changed.
2 When developed countries provides financial assistance to the poor countries it leads to an increased life expectancy of the people in that country. The donor countries need to provide more effective aids . There are numerous global health partnerships and they provide significant financing for health .it also helps in reducing the mortality rate among children under age 5 as these funds were used effectively for vaccines, insecticide -treated bed nets for prevention of malaria and antiretroviral drugs for HIV. Another one is sector-wide approaches for improving the effectiveness of health care in which the donors pool their aid funds and provide them directly to governments. But the other thing is that whether they are using it effectively and reaching it to the recepients..
