Identify several forces (e.g., specific social problems, aesthetic preferences, public policies, technological innovations, business interests) that shaped the city of CHICAGO and what specific elements of the city were introduced as a result?
The city Chicago is famous for economics, culture, history etc. As we saw from the past the city expeeiexper a great deal with technology also. If we consider the food processing industries in Chicago then it was the largest producer of meat around the world. As we know that history is characterized by irreversibilities and history does not allow controlled experiment with a city. So we can say that whatever happened in Chicago including world parliament for religeon in 1893, happened due to the structure of the city as well as the irreversibilities of the historyy itself.. as we see social problems it mainly regarding pollution etc. Water as well as air pollutants affected the city for a long period of time.
As we look at the business chance perspective the situation is more or less stagnant. Technological innovation was always there which transmitted into academic interests resulted in knowledge reveloution. These factors shape the city.
