Fundamental presupposition: All social phenomena emerge from the actions and interactions of individuals who are choosing in response to expected additional benefits and costs to themselves. Give an example of social behavior or a social situation that seems inconsistent with this fundamental presupposition. Explain specifically why you think it could be inconsistent.
ans....
This idea seems very particular according to given statement. all
social activities related to individual are design to benefit them.
Every action and interaction of individuals is in such a way
designed to get more benefits from their activities. for example
people living in society go out for picnic or any social events
always seek benefits of going there. They seek to find benefits of
picnic like freshness of mind, relaxation, meeting different
culture people etc. so action followed benefits. this idea seems
reasonable on account of self benefits but not in every case.
here I cover one more example that would consistent with this
phenomena or statement , attending a funeral and condolence meeting
of relatives or friends it will not provide any benefits to concern
person attending funeral or condolence meeting it is his/her duty
or obligation to be done to favor other or realize one’s the we are
standing by them in such pathetic situation. it will not cost to us
but it is cost to one who left one of beloved one.
According to me no action of an individual is devoid of benefits or
cost it is like a win lose situation. In social interaction one
wins other loose or other win and one loose. We cannot separate
these social phenomena from our daily life.
