Ans, An open-ended assessment is one in which students are required to explore the answer on their own they're meant to encourage students to start a discussion or think creatively. The open-ended discussion is very important for overall development of a student as unlike close-ended questioner which requires only Yes, No from a student, it requires a student to think, diagnose the answer of the particular question asked

Open-ended question beginning from kindergarten helps students to develop critical thinking and focus on the subject, it can be used in every subject from Maths to languages and from Arts to History. It's like some storybook is given to the students to read, before they could start reading the teacher may ask them to analyze what is the story all about from the photograph on the front and back side of the book, These open-ended questions allow students to analyze the content, make guesses based on vocabulary on the cover and discuss the reasoning behind their thoughts. In short, before even cracking open the book, they've already thought critically and analytically. As open-ended allows them to use their own ideas thoughts and feelings the answer given cannot be in one word it would be an elaborate answer thus improve vocabulary skill and the way to express their feelings thus the language automatically improves as it does not provide the preset answer.

In the cases where students are being assessed the appropriate performance criteria and discipline which is to be followed by the students should be set before, and the students are required to work cooperatively, behave ethically assess and evaluate information and give feedback, The students should also receive the feedback from the teacher for their respective performance analysing the specific characteristic of the assignment given to him and his language and vocabulary skill. Students who do not meet the minimum participation requirements should not be treated as failed or below average and the teacher should not reduce the grade or marks on the poor performance.
