Answer-
According to the given
question-
- The difference in climate is due to
amount of radiation form sun received by Earth are different around
the world. Equator receives more heat than the North Pole as well
as south poles due to angle of ray falling on earth.
- Seasons are due to due to
revolution of earth on its axis around the sun and tilt of earth
responsible for difference in amount of sunlight that are striking
on earth and the duration of sun light falling on latitude.
- Change in climate in January and
July around the world depends on -
- water and land distribution in
particular continent
- Latitude
- Elevation from sea level
- Ocean currents.
- Temperature of air decreases with
height so the regions which are at high elevation are cooler than
the regions which are present near the sea level.
- Temperature decreases from pole to
tropic as well as subtropics in January and July but the difference
in solar radiation which occurs at high and low latitudes is more
in January compared to July or more in winter than the summer.
- The isotherm, which is measure of
temperature and places have same temperature are close than the
isotherm of July. Which means isotherms is not occur horizontally
rather than it bend at the boundary of ocean and continent .
- January temperatures in middle of
continents are lower than the same latitude region present near the
ocean and this condition reversed during July.
- This is due to uneven heating and
cooling of land and water bodies. because the land containing thin
layer of soil absorb less solar energy than the water. sun light
penetrates in water at very deep and circulation of water causes
distribution of heat.
- Ocean current in eastern continents
responsible for transportation of warm water towards pole while in
western continents they are responsible for transportation of cold
current towards equator.
