1.Yes, changing our physical activities and dietary habits can reduce the risks of some diseases.Some diseases have some sort of correlation with our physical activities and the diet or lifestyle we follow.Say, for example if we maintain a sedentary lige with less physical activities, we tend to put on weight and become overweight. Overweight iisues with basal metabolic rate (BMI )of 25 to 30 has a risk of many diseases. Overweight and obese people who suffer from cancers of the colon, breast (postmenopausal), kidney, endometrium, and other sites are more prone to deaths.If an active life is maintained with exercises, yoga etc, the organs function in a proper manner and our immune system also boosts up with blood pressure, respiration maintained well.All the systems work in an active way maintaining the body fit.Secondly, the diet we take has an immense effect to reduce the risk of diseases. Fruits and vegetables contain phytoactives and vitamins that reduce the risk of diseases or improve the conditions in diseased people.Diet low in fats and carbohydrates limits calorie intake and helps in reduction of adiposity.
