MUSCLE INJURIES
skeletal muscle injuries play great part in sports medice because it's a common injuries occurs in most of the sports like football, hockey, cricket,volleyball etc there will be 10% to 50% of muscle injuries in sports
types ,there will acute and chronic type
acute: it will be single traumatic event and causes macrotruma to the muscle and it will be noticeable
chronic: it will be in long period of time as a micro trauma to the muscle ,and it will not be noticeable, hard to diagnose
And muscle strains,muscle cramps and muscle soreness includes in the muscle injuries
These muscle strain will be most commonly in the sports because of the following reasons
They are, without doing warm up, previous injuries happened to the player, muscle imbalance, spinal dysfunction, excessive muscle tightness etc.
TREATMENT in acute stage
treatment for the muscle injuries is the primary principle of RICE - ( rest, ice, compression, elevation )
Mostly these principle is quite enough for the acute stage of the muscle injuries, these improve the injury area and then there will be isometric to isotonic exercise without pain and followed by the isokinetic exercise
chronic stage
there will be some surgical intervention for the following such as, large intramuscular hametoma ,scar adhesion formation it leads to pain and restrictions in movements for more than 5 months.

prevetion
For sports player first they need focus on flexibilty of mucles, so before playing they have to street and warming up is must and and after the games they need to warm down there body
And need to find some proper skills it prevent from injuries
