Being President Trump's Economic Advisor Imagine you are President Trump's economic advisor. Following las year's passage of tax cuts and the recent government shut-down over the wall on the Southern Border with Mexico, what would you advise President Trump to push as policy priorities during the coming year? Will he likely take your advice? If not, why not? |

My advice as economic advisor will be as follows:
1. The president should build a negotiation team to make a constructive dialogue with China and solve the problems related to banning of US products in China and vice versa.
2. The president should focus upon development programs that can create jobs and more people will have the spending power, rather than going for the tax cuts and offering more benefits to the corporate
3. The president should pay attention to make necessary adjustments in approach so that negotiation with Mexico will be done properly and any amicable solution will be found out. It will help build cordial relations with the neighboring nations.
Above advice will be accepted by the president, as he has already seen the results of confrontation based leadership that is not so effective. So, he will necessarily think about the change in approach and take better decisions.
