You are asked to evaluate three medical interventions that reduce the number of deaths due to congestive heart failure. Among these interventions, there are no influences on the patient's quality of life. Which evaluation method would you use and why?
Here,
The Medical Interventions are measures taken to improve the quality of health; a disease which can be easily diagnosed and treated
Congestive heart failure is a long term progressive condition that affects the pumping of the heart muscles. if the ventricles are unable to pump blood to the body and gradually blood and other fluids will reserve in other organs of the body.
Cardiac Catheterization:- These can show the blockages of the coronary arteries. Doctors will insert a Sheath via guide wire through Catheter into the blood vessels which is plotted from radial artery or femoral artery, inject contrast to coronary arteries, the doctor will check the blood flow and pressure of the heart chambers.and identity the blockages
Echocardiogram:-It uses sound waves which records the structure and motion of the heart. It determines the contraction and relaxation of the heart muscles and poor blood flow.
Here, Echocardiography is the most suitable method for the evaluation of the patients with congestive heart failure. Very easy and non in vasive Procedure,It is a semi quantitative test which analyse the functions of left ventricle and evaluate the abnormalities of the valves. It includes the systolic function of the left ventricle, diastolic function of the left ventricle, and the structure and functions of left and right ventricle.
