The five principles of adult learning are

1.Adults as all learners need to be respected

So in teaching plan try to call them up by name or sir or madam.Should be patient enough and should give value for each person and got their suggestions.

2.Adults are autonomous and self oriented

So in this case teacher should make sure the active participation of the parents.Try to anticipate their needs before they say.Make the sense of leadership and facilitate them to express their needs.

3.Adults have good life experience and knowledge

So try to hear the things from their knowledge, without pouring so many things at the beginning of teaching.Start the teaching from where they stop their knowledge.Give value for their life experience and make them understand in the positive way with clear evidence and example of the changes what they have to make in their understanding.

4.Adults are goal oriented

In the beginning of the class itself explain the goal of the teaching .Now in this class it is to develop a good and healthy lifestyle and there by to nuture a generation who is healthy and free of comorbidities.

5.Adults are relevancy oriented

So when trying to teach them use certain vedios ,pictures and audio clips which support the topic. Also ask questions in between and allow them to ask questions and get it clarified there itself in a clear manner. Finally make sure that each of the parents leave the class with complete idea about the class and it goals and objectives
