Contrast the challenges of using input controls to manage a fishery with many different inputs, such as long-line tuna, compared to a fishery with few inputs, such as rock lobster.

Solutions

Expert Solution

Challenges of using input controls to manage a fishery with many inputs are follows-

• As fishing capacity controls are limited, it is difficult for them to catch maximum number of fishes in definite amount of vessels.

• Entanglement is also one of the most crucial challenge that will take place in fishing like long line tuna. This could also result in unnecessary wear off, killing of victims which are present on seaside.

• Due to the length of the fishing line, sometimes it is very difficult to undue strands while fishing as the weight the fishing machinery can bear is exceeded.

• Behavioral challenges are seen in fishes which make fishery difficult because it is difficult to spread out line along the coast without knowing the habitat.

• Input controls to manage fishery with less inputs is the number of fishing gears deloped and the number of individual lobsters allowed to catch. As they also depend on breeding time as well.

A firm using MEc tools finds that the 2-inputs in its 2-input production arrangement is inefficient. Describe how that inefficiency is manifested in terms of the inputs and spending. Also, briefly discuss the choice the firm faces with regard to outputs OR its budgetary outlays devoted to production. How could it spend less with the same budget?

1.Suppose a firm produce paper using 2 inputs. When input prices are ($8,$10) the firm uses input bundle (10,10). When the prices are ($10,$6) the firm uses bundle (2,18). The amount of output is the same in both case, this behavior is consistent with Weak Axiom of Cost Minimization True or False? 2.Jimmy's utility function is U = Apple x Banana. Program using java Take user input and give corresponding output. A user is considering different options of operating air conditioning. Depending on room temperature (here, room temperature is given by user), this program should give different instructions. There are three scenarios. - If temperature is above 90, the program should output “cooling”. -If the temperature is below 70, the program should output “heating”. -Otherwise, the program should output “stopped”. For example, if user enters “95”, this is how the program...
