Richard Nixon was a political dynamo. He was coupled with frankness and Honesty. He was very ambitious to implement his domestic policy implementation to change the government function.Many conservatives oppoasesed these policies.Some of them are like;

New Federalism,Welfare reform,Lowering the voting age,Watergate, and etc ,but many of the conservatives opposed because at the time of election he faced weak economy,because of vietnam war federal government was almost broken.

one of the great policy was welfare is the name commonly given to a collection of government programmes that provide funds to keep the poor from becoming destitute,but many accused that the govt was over funded.His policy of Negative income tax was also controversial.

He is the president who almost faced impeachment.He won the republican nomimation for president in 1968 by coalition.He was unpopular for vietnam policies.He won the elections with narrow victories.He became a Do Nothing president.SSI,COLA becme set aside policies which opposed his own senate.His new economic policy increased inflation. Many conspiracies like Watergate,financial dealing ,pentagon papers,break in white house made senate to voted unanimousely to create an investigating committee. he used tio investigate poitical enemies. He stepped covert operations against cuba. He personally authorised covert funds,it created extended period of social,political,economic,unrest.he assigned SALT,CTBT.
