The biggest and the most basic problem that Ethiopia is struggling with is clean drinkable water available for all people. Providing Clean water, food and a better plan for growing their food is what the society needs most at this time.
c. How can their society provide for their wants and needs?
Their society can do a lot to in different ways to provide for their needs and want. The first and the basic thing is to understand the scarcity problem. Climate change and lack of resources are causing the main problems for Ethiopian society, and if they were to understand that there are better ways to regulate these issues, it might make a difference to how the people are living.
Focus should shift to agriculture as it is the major commercial activity. Use of better quality of seeds and better production method will help Ethiopia to be a more self sustaining economy. No country or society ever got prosperity by begging or receiving alms. The spirit of official mendicancy in Ethiopia must be replaced by a public spirit of unfettered entrepreneurship.

Youth of Ethiopia play an important role, the starting point must necessarily be a de-marginalization of youth through an explicit acknowledgement of their role in solving problems affecting them. They must be included in all decision-making concerning youth issues and consulted extensively in the policy planning and implementation stages. The bottom line is that without the youth, Ethiopia has no future.
d. Why are they so impoverished? & e. What can their governments do to help, or hinder their country's development?
The biggest reason for the issue is none other than their government and it being a complete dictator. This leaves them in charge of the foreign aid that is given to them by the U.S or other countries; however they are not using it for appropriate or helpful sources. High quality data is fundamental to effective policymaking, but Ethiopian government data – on agricultural yields, on fertility rates, on food insecurity and even on GDP growth – is often regarded skeptically by many donors.Donors could usefully make a determined push on helping Ethiopia to build up its statistical capacity, as well as working to pool other sources of data. This could potentially help to create a more collaborative, evidence based approach, creating a sounder basis for decision-making on climate and scarcity issues. By building new international partnerships. Donor governments should recognize Ethiopia’s ability to be the main partner in pursuing progressive global agendas. As a government with a large record of commitment to both poverty reduction and environmental sustainability, and given the personal reputation and capability of its Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, Ethiopia has the large capacity to set international agendas These are just a few ways to help out the struggling population.
f.Could not Ethiopia become a world class producer and exporter of goods? How would Ethiopia compare with Japan? Japan is a country relatively POOR in natural resources, yet it is an economic world powerhouse.
What are the differences between the two countries?
Ethiopia could become a world class producer or exporter of goods because of the low labor costs and abundant resources. This can present an opportunity for Ethiopia to start little companies, get private investors and create jobs a millions of people. The difference in Japan and Ethiopia is that Japan has already began fixing their problem, and focuses on clothing and building their technology knowledge whereas Ethiopia is still struggling with a dictatorship government who has no intention for making the country a better place for people to live in. Inequality persists and people suffer even for the basic needs.
