1) How would you respond to Bob in the most therapeutic manner?
2) Bob and his wife both ask about the side effects associated with the new medication. What should you teach them?
3) What assessment data is critical to collect prior to collect prior to the first dose?
4) What ongoing assessments are indicated?
5) What are the priority collaborative problems that you must consider for patients taking prazosin?
6) Discuss nursing interventions and rationales for patients receiving adrenergic blocking agents.
7) What are the most common adverse reactions, drug-to-drug, drug-food/herbal interactions with prazosin?
1) the drugs will decrease the health risks by controlling thw blood pressure and not leading to further complication and the symptoms of blood pressure qill be decreased and emergency due to hypertension will be decreased and the health care cost ia reduced by futher complication. 2) prazosin is an hypertensive drug which is adminstered to treat high blood pressure which lowers the blood pressure and lowers atroke, heart problems, and kidney problems and side effects of any drug is common and they are not so severe and the main action of the drug is to be remember which prevents lethal damage and to combat with the sideeffects the physician advise is to be considered. 3) The asseasment data is critical to collect prior to 1st dose is montioring bloodpressure and heart rate for the last reading and history and signs and symptoms. 4) ongoing assessment:assess the blood pressure before and after the drug administration and other symptoms and sideeffects. 5) prazosin is a highly selective alpha blocker and nonspecific blocakade of allsubbtypes and only after 1st dose effect ia dizziness and sudden fainting and other side effects they are dizziness , headaches, drowsiness, lack of energy, weakness, palpitations amd nausea etc. 6) nursing intervention and rationale for patient recieving adrenergic blocking agents: nursing intervention: it explains about the adrenergic blocking agent and its effects on the blood pressure and and sideeffects and contraindications, rationale: to promote wellness of the patient and promote knowledge and compliance with drug regime.
