The aim of urban sustainability is to make cities run on renewable sources of energy, decrease their carbon footprint, efficiently manage land and other natural resources, and adopt recycling as a way of life. Furthermore, urban centers should develop effective planning that relies on mass transit systems as a way of transportation over private vehicles.
