WHat is the purpose of the Review of Systems?( Please name 3).
In regards to mental disorders, explain the difference between an organic disorder, and a psychiatric mentall illness
Answer: The review of systems (or symptoms) is a list of questions, arranged by organ system, designed to uncover dysfunction and disease.It is also called a systems enquiry or systems review, is a technique used by healthcare providers for eliciting a medical history from a patient.
1) Constitutional symptoms includes the examples such as unexplained weight loss, night sweats, fatigue.
2) Eye: visual chnages, blurred vision etc.
3) Gastrointestinal system: Abdominal pain ,unexplained weight loss etc.
Answer: An organic mental disorder (OMD), is a form of decreased mental function may be permanent or temporary due to a medical or physical disease, rather than a psychiatric illness.
The psychiatric mentall illness includes depression, bipolar effective disorder etc. This mainly associated with the mood swing or depression etc. Anxiety disorders that is a mental health disorder characterised by feelings of worry, anxiety or fear that are strong enough to interfere with one's daily activities.
