1 Telemedicine aims in setting three main priorities ie building confidence,bringing legal clarity and facilitating market development. IT can help to address the shortage of health care professionals,particularly in sparsely populated areas and can improve the efficiency,quality and timeliness of health care service provision.Recognising the importance of this sector and the benefits it could provide,measures have been initiated in supporting research in the field of telemedicine for the past 20 years.it changes traditional working methods and bring new ways of practicising medicine and delivery care.new roles for health professionals ,new skills and new actors appear in the process of health care delivery.Understanding and implementing these changes in an acceptable and coherent manner is essential to enable wider deployment.Health professionals ,via their conferences and training events ,to present results of studiesoutlining the benefits provided by telemedicine solutions for health outcomes.Co-operation is requied among user representatives ie health care professionals and patient representatives,to develop and disseminate guidelines addressing ethical issues relevant to telemedicine.
I have a friend who works in tele-health services .She says that it is totally different from what we are doing in clinical setting..She has to take calls from patients with MS and help them with their treatment needs,everything from ordering their meds to the affordability of therapy.She offer solutions and explain things patients dont understand about their disease state.She says its about diving deep into the details to hear what the patient is saying and giving them solutions about treatment needs.
