He explained the Roman Society through various creations in which love was main emotion. He said that love is too dangerous and even Gods become affected with this feeling.

He considered love as the main reason for all types of dangers and miseries. He wrote harsh truth about societies and due to this reason his works were also banned at that time. He wrote about Gods in a mocking tone.

Rulers of that time did not like that aspect and try to impose various restrictions on his work. This shows the importance of Gods in Latin society. So, his work depicts a lot about the region of his time and due to this reason his status is to be used as historian.
