The world human population in the twentieth century has been increasing exponentially. Speculate on the logical outcome if this rate of growth continues. How could this growth rate be reduced? What ethical issues could be associated with implementation of any “human management” practices?

If the population continues to grow in a way it is growing now , many outcomes are possible

  • Unemployment - There will be less employment and more people that want to do the job . This will cause unemployment to increase .
  • Poverty - This is the step that will follow the unemployment .
  • Food exploitation - The overwhelming need of food due to increased demand will cause the over exploitation of food . Which means more artificially synthesized food products and more adulteration .
  • Less health care - Increased population will lead to less health care that is provided to public.
  • Diseases - Due to overcrowding , the spread of communicable disease becomes easy.
  • Pollution - Many types of pollution are possible due to increased population .

Steps to reduce the growth rate -

  • Public awareness about keeping a short family, which is also called family planning.
  • More use of contraceptives should be suggested to people who are unaware of any type of contraceptives .
  • Media, educational institutes can also teach students , so that they go on and teach the same thing to the society later.

The main ethical issue is that the people doesn't consider this as a problem of a whole population and rather consider as a personal issue . So people are not generally open to suggestions about the decreasing the population growth .

In some places , people with more kids are considered as socially higher than others . This is another issue which needs to be stopped .
