In general, we should know about grant writing, grantsmanship and its process

Grant writing is the practice of completing a financial grant application process provided by an institution like government department, corporation and trust.

Or in simple words grants are the funds provided by an institution to a recipient. To receive a grant, grant writing is essential, ie, proposal.

It is important to know the target, to tune the language appropriately and its creation process; includes analyze the purpose & intended audience for proposal, collect information about the subject & appropriate type of proposal, writing & formatting, revising, editing, proof reading & submitting the proposal.

Grant category in health sector includes:

A) Resource / Equipment Grant's

In this, funding for specific devices and instruments such as biosensors and biomedical imaging devices are obtained by several groups as it is too expensive devices. These Grant's cover the instruments direct cost and for maintenance cost, service contracts and technical support to be covered by host institutions.

B) Career development grants:

This grants help to fund the project at any career stage such as PhD, post docs. Moreover, they can gain significant momentum with funding for career development in field of biomedical, clinical sciences which leads to research independance.
