# Recruitment of local employees:
In present days due to the pandamic situation of COVID-19 , LMRA(Labour market regulatory authority) is going recruit domestic workers to recomence on 14th.septembet.2020.
The LMRA noted that efforts are currently underway to coordinate with domestic expatriate employees employment offices, approved by the authority. This will ensure a smooth and hygenic recruitment process , Which priorites the health and safety of the citizens.
Beacuse of so many unemployment problems in 2020 ; So, Many people like job seekers for the fisrt time , National workers are facing many problems. Because of which LMRA has taken the necessary step towards recruitment and recruitment of local employess is the fisrt step towards employement.
# Recruitment of expat employees:
Expat employees are those , Who are sent to work aboard on a long term job assignment . Expat employess who are coming for recruitment need to follow certain regulations set by LMRA:
1) Provide LMRA with the digital fingerprints , photo and signature when entering the kingdom for the first time.
2) Do not work without a valid work permit issued in your name or renewed by LMRA.
3) Do not leave or the absent from work for more than 15 days without the permission of employer's.
4) Do not work for any other than the employer you are permitted to work with-as per your work permit.
5) Work only at your employer's permises as stated in the work permit etc...
# Contract: Permanent/ Temporary:
Unlike some other GCC countries, Bahrain has no requirement to sign a government contract. However, The contract enetred into between employer and the employee must be registered with the LMRA in the order to obtain the employee's work permit and residence visa.
Permanent:
Clients require a member of staff who will work with them on a permanent employement contract. This also includes fixed them contracts. For permanent positions, You will be eligible for full employee benefits offered by the client.
Temporary:
Clients require a member of staff to work with them on a flexible basis . Typically, These assignments will be for a fixed term and cover increases workload, illness cover on maternity/paternity cover . You will have a contract of services for an agreed hourly/daily rate, which will cover the time you work and you will be entitled to holidays of up to 28 days per ennum based on the amount of time that you work.
# Indemnity • GOSI:
The GOSI educations are made form the salary of local Bahrains and expatriates both but the GOSI educations will only be paid to the Bahrains after their retirement or being fired from their job while for expatriate employees there is the provision of indemnity in the labour of Bahrain.
The basics of deduction:
By the law, The Bahrain employees should pay 19% of their full salary including the allowances (12% being the employer share , and 7% being the employee share).
For the expatriates 4% percent of the full salary including the allowances ( 3% being the employer share , and 1% being the expat employees share).
# LMRA requirements: visa, permits:
LMRA only processes work permits for expatriate employees and thier dependants as a one stop service.
All other types visas like : Visit visa , student or business visas , property owners and special visas schemes for retirement or investment in Bahrain visas for residents of Saudi Arabia who rent or buy property in Bahrain etc... can be requested form NPRA(Nationality, passports and Residence affairs).
Employess can submit a request for renewing the employee work permit before it expires.
