Role of tax researcher is to solve the complicated tax issues for their clients. Issues are often complicated due to globalization and now-a-days businesses operates in different countries. And different countries have different tax jurisdictions. The sources of research guidelines includes the following-:

a) Past year tax issues and their judgments should be referred by the tax researcher to understand the tax issue and helping the client. Most of the tax experts issues their editorial article which can be referred by the tax experts.

b) Practical experience should be taken from the senior tax practicer. They can help in preparing and solving th tax issue.

c) Facts of the case should be matched with the tax laws and case should be critically evaluated. Technology can  be used for researching about the topic and solving the issue.

d) Thorough research about the topic should be made before concluding the issue. It should be seen from the bigger picture.
