EXERCISE 4.4 AMORAL SELF-INTEREST
Imagine a society in which everyone was entirely self-interested
(cared only about his or her own wealth) and amoral (followed no
ethical rules that would interfere with gaining that wealth). How
would that society be different from the society you live in?
Consider the following:
• families
• workplaces
• neighbourhoods
• traffic
• political activity (would people
vote?)
●In such a general public where everyone is irreverent and egotistical. individuals will absolutely not care about whatever else around.
● Their conduct at working environment won't be helpful. They would not have the foggiest idea about their neighbors. They won't pool to their work and hence increment traffic action since they couldn't care less about the climate and they don't have a clue about individuals to pool with.
● They won't vote since they will never invest additional push to go down to the pooling stall to make their choice since they couldn't care less about the democratic and government. This precise inverse to the fanciful circumstance where I would live where individuals are caring and strong all along.
