Should the Federal Reserve Chair continue to be independent or should laws be amended to make the position subordinate to the president and congress? Explain using a short paragraph with a well thought out reason(s) supporting your response.
ans....
The Federal Reserve chair should continue to be the independent of
the president and congress, because it will help the Federal
Reserve to act and implementing the policies that are best for the
interest of the economy of the USA. These policies will be free of
any undue political influence and apply the policies solely on the
basis of merit. Besides, no any government will take the credit of
the work done by the Federal Reserve and the performance of the
economy will not be used by the government to be used as a part of
the political agenda. Hence, undue influence upon the voters will
be prevented.
If the chair becomes the subordinate, then the chair is bound to
respond to the suggestion of the president or Congress. It will
also create unnecessary pressure to add the proposals of the
president into the policies that many not be as successful or the
policy may benefit a few particular states. It will not be good for
the USA as a federal arrangement between states and the Federal
government.
