DARK TOURISM:
Dark Tourism, also referred to as grief tourism includes individuals who are keenly curious about visiting locations traditionally connected to death and disaster. Dark Tourism sub-sets are also locations that are examples of human misery and bloodshed. While this idea sounds a little strange, the patterns are quickly catching up. And Dark Tourism naturally finds its place in India, with such a long history.

GENEALOGY TOURISM: Tourists who travel to their ancestral place to reconnect with their history or to walk in the footsteps of their forefathers are interested in genealogy tourism or root tourism.
It is a global industry and prominent in countries where mass immigration was experienced. This is a very fascinating form of tourism in which, in search of their origins, tourists travel to their ancestors' land(s). Although genealogy tourism has captured a significant market around the world, it tends to be more common in the world.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DARK TOURISM AND GENEALOGY TOURISM:

1. Dark tourism has been recognized as tourism that involves travel to places connected with death and tragedy historically. whereas Genealogy tourism, also referred to as root tourism, is a tourism market segment consisting of tourists with ancestral ties to their holiday destination.
2. Genealogy tourism is a global industry, although it is more common in nations that have undergone mass emigration in history at some point and thus have a strong diaspora population worldwide.whereas The key appeal of dark places is their
historical importance rather than their death and misery relations.

3.Genealogical tourists relate their encounters and contextualize those observations to the human factors behind contemporary tourism within broader social approaches. whereas Disaster tourism is the act of visiting places that have been exposed to natural or man-made environmental tragedies. It is seen as a dark tourism sub-sector.

4.Genealogy deals with migrants but dark tourism doesn't have such a connection with migrated people.

5.Genealogy tourism is helpful in track of diplomacy among nations. But dark tourism doesn't give such advantages.

6.Genealogy tourism gives high emotional bonding to tourists. But dark tourism doesn't give such an experience
