what are some important concept, experiment, or technique of the Big Bang Theory

Solutions

Expert Solution

1) Important concepts of Big Bang Theory

The big bang is how astronomers explain the way the universe began. It is the idea that the universe began as just a single point, then epanded and stretched to grow as large as it is right now (and it could still be stretching).

Experiments and Technique of the Big Bang Theory

The earliest and most direct observational evidence of the validity of the theory are the expansion of the universe according to Hubble's law (as indicated by the redshifts of galaxies), discovery and measurement of the cosmic microwave background and the relative abundance of light elements produced by big bang. George Lemaitre first noted in 1927 that an expanding universe could be tracked back in time to an originating single point, which he called the "primeval atom". For several decades, the scientific communtiy was divided between supporters of the Big Bang and the rival steady-state model, but a wide range of empirical evidence has strongly favoured the Big Bang, which is now universally accepted.
