(2)   What would your response be to an athlete who says “I would love to stop using steroids (or some other illegal, performance –enhancing drug), but what can you provide me that will be equally effective in assisting me in reaching my goals?”

Yes quitting any drug or steroid can be very effective in reaching goals. all the above mentioned things makes a person dependant. Whereas the winning mindset or the regular practise would help in identifying more areas where your game is lacking. What kind of efforts you need to take? More observational skill, self study behaviour, analysis of the game after every game would help in fixing down between strengths and weaknesses of yourself with respect to game.

Probably you require more and more reading of motivation or any motivational talks. Meditation exercise would also help in having complete grip over your mind.
