Globalization is the process of integrating national and international economies through the global network of commerce, communication, and transport. It means opening up nationalistic viewpoints to a wider vision for a global term that allows for the free transfer of goods and services across all corners of the world. Globalization is largely enabled by the growth of transportation and communication networks.
Global citizenship, of which two serve the most. The first is to value diversity. This is the understanding and appreciation of the world's diverse cultures. By appreciating these cultures, one can interact with people from different cultures and backgrounds openly. This is very important, as coexistence with others that are different from us is not an option in the current world. Wherever one lives in the world you are bound to meet people who differ from you. Though it becomes easier to understand this concept of becoming a global citizen.
