Expert Solution

A perspective is derived from sociological theories that describe and predict relationship between the way humans behave and their social environment. The three sociological theories are functional perspective, conflict perspective and symbolic interactionist perspective.

Disadvantages of functional perspective:

Functionist perspective describes the relation between various spheres of social living such as education, religious and moral values, politics, economics and various other spheres.According to this perspective, if any of these spheres are dysfunctional, it may create chaos in the social life.

The main disadvantage which is obvious is that this perspective focus on certain areas of external factors related to social environment and not related to inner well-being of an individual.

Disadvantages of conflict perspective:

This perspective focus on the concept those who benefit from society because of their power and those who are deprived of any gain because they lack power.

This theory has the disadvantage that in order to gain something, an individual needs power and influence in various areas such as education, politics.

Disadvantages of Symbolic interactionist:

This theoretical perspective focus on an individuals perception of external world by observing interaction that occur between different people.

This perspective is limited within a micro group and the interaction between them and does not focus on external social world.
