Explanation;
Units are calculated as follow;
Hopkinsville Company |
|||
Number of Equivalent Units of Production |
|||
Whole Units |
Direct Materials Equivalent Units |
Coversion Equivalent Units |
|
Inventory in process, beginning |
1120 |
0 |
(1120 * 0.7) = 784 |
Started and completed |
(23600 – 1120) = 22480 |
(23600 – 1120) = 22480 |
(23600 – 1120) = 22480 |
Transferred to Packing Department |
23600 |
23600 – 1120 = 22480 |
(22480 – 784) = 21696 |
Add: Inventory in process, ending |
1240 |
1240 |
(1240 * 0.30) = 372 |
