Microsoft Excel has been the spreadsheet tool of choice, but there are other options.
If you choose an alternative to Excel, how would you “sell” the idea to others in your organization who may not know there are other options?
There are many alternatives to excel. One of them isWPS. WPS Office is an amazing, affordable office suite for Microsoft Windows, Linux, iOS and android developed by a software and Internet services company based in California, USA
Another alternative is access. The objective of access is to help in collecting, sorting, and manipulating the databases. Compared to access, the storage capacity is less since excel isn't built for storing data. Compared to excel, the storage capacity is more since access is mainly built for storing, sorting, and manipulating databases.
Another one is google sheets. Google sheets gives Excel a run for its money in terms of name recognition. And all you need to use it is a free Google account. It's tightly integrated with all of the other Google apps you use—including Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, and Google Forms. For example, you can easily populate a spreadsheet with data from a web form by clicking Forms > Create a Form, or you can turn your spreadsheet data into advanced visualizations via Google Data Studio. And webmasters can import Google Analytics data right into their documents, then use the data to build charts or track trends.
