Does subjective experience contribute to the exercise / sport an individual chooses to participate in? What are some things that would lead a person to choose one activity over another? Please explain your answer.
The participation depends on many factors such as interests, abilities, outcomes, ambitions and social values. The subjective experiences affects participation but not much because our psychological and physical condition develops confidence to become an active part of a particular event.
If a person feels strong attachment with a particular event may develop a will to participate but his/her abilities, ambitions and outcome levels may affect decisions. I think participation is a physical and psychological process that includes many physical and mental factors.
Subjective experiences plays an important role but not enough capable to influence one’s interests and abilities. In my opinion, participation in an event is purely an individual concern but it get affected by many aspects. Choosing one activity on other is part of this whole process if we see more benefit in other activity in terms of performance, outcomes, social support, praise, satisfaction, and creativity, we keep it with preference.
