Strategic Planning enables an organization to
look into future in an orderly and systematic way, ensures that a
hospital remains relevant and responsive to patient and community
needs and provides a clear and consistent organizational focus. It
also provides a basis for monitoring progress, results and
impact.
SIX PLANS
INCLUDED IN STRATEGIC PLAN IS AS FOLLOWS:-
- VISION:- By developing vision statement, your
organization makes beliefs and governing principles of your
organization will also be cleared to the community and also to the
members participated in the strategic plan. Vision statement
communicates that what your organization believes are the ideal
conditions of the community and these issues are important to be
perfectly addressed.
- MISION:- Mision statement describes what an
organization is going to do for the community. The mision statement
might refer to the problem that an organization wants to resolve
such as providing adequate healthcare access to everyone. Mision
statement should be concise and outcome oriented.
- OBJECTIVES:- These refer to the specific
measurable results for the initiatives taken by the organization.
The objectives are the main guidelines of the organization and they
provide layout as what will be done and when and within some
specific time how much work is accomplished.
- STRATEGIES:- The strategies are used to
explain how the initiative taken by the organization will reach to
its objectives. Strategies of an organization includes people from
different sectors and parts of the commmunity that work
collaborately to accomplish the goals.
- ACTION PLAN:- It includes details that exactly
how the strategies will implement to accomplish the objectives.
Action plan refers to specific changes that the organization wants
and specific action steps necessary to bring about changes in all
the relevant sectors and parts of the community. It includes the
plan that what should be done, which person is concerned to which
work, what are the barriers that are need to be overcome and the
collaboration from other people.
- REVIEW:- To ensure performance you need to
hold regular reviews accordingly and these reviews should be
atleast once a quarter and possibly monthly depending on your
organization.
