Expert Solution

The media and especially hollywood have been one of the very crucial factor to explain how the public vies nursing/a healthcare profession.

There is need to identify dual image as negative and positive both in the study, media have on nursing. In real nursing staff perform almost all the activities in healthcare system , but still media expose their role as assistant or helper.

Almost all the TV programmes/shows reflect nurses in negative way

In some Hollywood movies the nurses are represented as sex symbol in tight costumes.

At the same time positive attributes of nurses is reflected by their neat and clean attire, their way of serving the patients, their communication etc.

Hence there is need of public awakening towards their view for nursing profession. This is the need of time.

The should be given a respect in the society which they really deserve.

More over there are so many NGOs and other social activits, which shoul educate the general public towards the role of nursing in health care system.

Their importance for the society as well as the health care industry.

In this way we will be able to justify the well proved role of nursing profession positively in the society.
