Is an increased dependence on technology making us less inclined to function independently?
PLEASE be extremely thorough with the answer.
Nowadays, with the developing technologies and with an easy access to the internet, children as young as three year olds know how to operate certain applications on their tablets or parent's phone and computers. Almost everything is available online, ranging from productive to non-productive information. Internet has both pros and cons attached to it. The con being it is making us less inclined to function independently.
Everbody has Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram and various other applications which are a click away on their phones. Internet has gotten people hooked onto it. Nobody wants to keep away from their phone. Personal social interaction has gone down for over half a decade. Relatives, families, cousins, friends all are communicated through social media and barely through personal communication. Social media has decreased face-to-face interactions. Basic communication and interaction in families has declined. Social media dents an individual’s sociability. Tinder makes people lose touch of reality. Social awkwardness is a result of the virtual world. Technological innovation is a boon however, it turns out to be a bane in some cases.
